Principal's Message

Welcome to La Vista Center!

My name is Lauren Hamilton, and I am the Program Administrator at La Vista Center.  Our program is a Special Education Center, serving students grades 7-12.  I began my career with San Juan Unified in 2016. I was a Special Education teacher in the district for 4 years. I then became a principal and behaviorist for a local nonpublic school where I worked for 2 years. Last school year, 23-24, I worked as a program specialist for TRUSD.  I have always believed in supporting our providers in meeting our students where they are and providing the scaffolds necessary to help remove roadblocks to success.  At La Vista Center, our talented staff build strong relationships with students and use evidence-based practices to support them academically, socially and emotionally, while always keeping safety a priority.  Our students benefit from our services, and make progress towards success whether that be graduation, college or careers.  I am committed to my role in providing our students with the opportunities and experiences needed to become motivated in working towards their goals. 

I look forward to working with our students, parents and community in supporting our amazing students.
